As part of our Physical Therapy team, you will:
Supervise supportive personnel in immediate work area;
Give direct client care as prescribed including evaluation and treatment planning; collaborating with other personnel in developing and implementing physical therapy care plans;
Report and interpret results of treatments;
Maintain appropriate records, insuring documentation is accurate, concise, and legible;
Ensure compliance with any contracted facilities and other regulatory standards, policies, and procedures;
Participate in plans for continuous quality improvement regarding client care, staff development and facility advancement;
Participate in clinical studies and educational activities of the service.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a wide variety of disease processes.
- Demonstrated ability to establish a clinical impression and client problem list for clients with a wide variety of disease processes with appropriate indications/contraindications for treatment.
- Demonstrated ability to establish appropriate treatment plans.
- Ability to consistently and accurately perform a wide variety of treatment techniques.
- Ability to effectively and appropriately document client care activities according to department requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with clients, caregivers, referring practitioners, peers, management and other health care practitioners.
- Physically capable of lifting, pulling, pushing, and placing of clients and treatment equipment. Successful candidates must be able to sit, walk, stand, stoop, crouch, and kneel. Candidate must also have the ability to lift and/or more up to 50 pounds.
