Plans and implements specific treatment programs for neonates through geriatric patients, according to accepted speech pathology practices and principles; collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures affecting the physical medicine and speech therapy department. Knowledge of the principles and practices of speech/language pathology, instructional and demonstration methods, and procedures used in documentation of patient treatments. Skill in evaluation and treatment of a variety of clinical disorders in neonatal to geriatric populations. Skill in oral and written communication to effectively communicate needed clinical information. Ability to interpret evaluative/treatment information to further determine appropriate intervention; ability to relate clinical information on a variety of levels relative to the receiver of the information; ability to display patience, diplomacy, and dependability; ability to manage time effectively, work as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team and live the values of Shannon Health. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university. Current License (or eligibility) to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
